Blyth Pier fishing trip

Posted by: on 04-06-2005

Article Written by: Peter (NE-Fishing member)

Fished Blyth Pier 02/06/2005 between 5.30 pm -11pm, winds were south westerly, sea was very flat.

I used lug squid and sand eels as bait plus about £700s worth of fishing tackle between 2 of us and we caught nothing.

There was two lads on the end with us, useing Kiddies Fishing Set's and they managed to catch coddling and flatties. Leaving us totally embarressed, I felt like throwing my fishing gear off the end of the pier lol. Also, I saw a group of gentlemen who were fishing and taking everything that they caught. This included : Tiny Coalies and Dab's that were so small you could nearly see through them. Where is the sense in this?
